Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. At the age 16, she began to sing and study music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense training in singing. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. After 2000, she emigrated into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007 she moved to her home in southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions singing traditional Latin American Music. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana has been a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
