Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16, Alexandra played the leading part in a variety of television dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature the divas.
