Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16, Alexandra played the leading part in a variety of television dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature the divas. Alexandra is well-known for her involvement in many important projects in both the US as well as internationally. Some of these include British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as many other. She was also an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
